Privacy
Red Forest USA LLC runs this website and the Clione service. This notice says what the website keeps and sends today, what the service does with the data a store connects to it, and what you can ask us to do with personal data about you.
Updated 8 October 2026
Who we are
Red Forest USA LLC, a limited liability company registered in Florida, United States, runs this website, clione.ai, and the Clione service. In this notice, "we" and "us" mean Red Forest USA LLC. For anything about your personal data, write to help@clione.ai.
What this notice covers
This notice covers the website at clione.ai, its Spanish pages under /es/ included, and describes how the Clione service handles data. Other sites we link to, such as the Chrome Web Store, the sources cited in our library or onetotem.com, are run by others and have their own policies.
When you visit this website
What the website does not do
The website shows no advertising and sets no tracking cookies. Every page, font, image, script and video it loads comes from clione.ai itself, so reading it does not make your browser contact any other company's servers.
Counting visits
We count visits with Plausible Analytics, a cookieless analytics service. When a page loads, your browser sends a small event to clione.ai, and our own server passes it on to Plausible. The event carries the address of the page, the page you came from, your browser's user agent and your IP address. Plausible uses the IP address and the user agent only to tell one visit from another for a single day and to estimate the country, region and city, then discards them; it stores no IP address, sets no cookie and keeps nothing that identifies you or follows you to another site. What we see is aggregate: how many people read a page, where they came from, and the browser, operating system, device type and country behind those numbers. Plausible stores these statistics on servers in the European Union. Because Plausible sets no cookie and keeps nothing that identifies you, counting visits needs no consent, and the site shows no banner for it.
Delivery and security
The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which delivers each page. To do that, Cloudflare's network receives the technical details any website receives with a request: your IP address, the address of the page you ask for, your browser's user agent and the time. Cloudflare uses them to deliver the page and to protect the site from abuse, under its own privacy policy. We have not set up a log of visits of our own.
Cookies and browser storage
The site stores four small items in your browser. All four are set by clione.ai, none identifies you, and none is used for tracking or advertising.
| Name | Kind | What it holds | When it is set | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|---|---|
clione_lang |
Cookie | The language you chose when the site offered you a page in another language, or the page's own language if you closed the offer | When you answer or close that offer | One year |
clione_geo |
Cookie | The two-letter code of the country your connection comes from, as Cloudflare reports it (for example ES) |
When the site needs a hint about which language to offer and your browser's language settings did not give one | 30 days |
theme |
Local storage | light or dark |
When you press the theme button | Until you clear your browser's storage |
fcta-off |
Session storage | A note that you closed the floating bar at the foot of the page | When you close that bar | Until you close the tab |
To set clione_geo, our server reads the country Cloudflare has already worked out from the request and sends it back to your browser. It keeps no copy.
We show no cookie banner because each of these items either remembers a choice you made or supports the language offer you see, and none of them follows you anywhere else. You can delete them at any time in your browser's settings. The site works without them; it will ask about the language again.
Search
The site search runs in your browser. As you type, it downloads parts of the search index from clione.ai; your search is not sent to anyone else.
Forms
Two forms on this site send what you type to us, and each one only after you tick its consent box.
- The waitlist, on its own page. It asks for your first name, last name and email address, and we use them to write to you when a place in the beta opens.
- The Corpus report request, on the report's own page. It asks for your first name, last name, company and work email, and we use them to send you the report when it is out.
With what you type we keep the language of the page you used and the time you sent it, which together are our record of your consent. We do not keep your IP address, and neither form sets a cookie. The form checks how long you took to fill it in, to keep out automated sign-ups; that check is a signed timestamp and is not stored.
What you send is written first to a database of ours on Cloudflare, stored in the European Union, and then added to a list in Brevo, the email platform we use, which is based in France. Signing up twice does not create a second entry. We do not send a confirmation email.
Every email we send you from these lists carries a link to unsubscribe, and you can also ask us at help@clione.ai to stop writing to you. The home page's offer of a report on one of your store's pages is not available yet.
When you write to us
If you write to help@clione.ai, we receive your email address and what you write, and we use them to answer you.
The Clione service
The Clione service, at app.clione.ai, connects to a merchant's store and works on its catalog. This section describes what it handles.
Catalog data only. The service works on the store's catalog: products, categories, collections and content pages. No data about the store's shoppers enters the system.
The people who use it. To give a team access, the service keeps the details each person uses to sign in, such as their email address and their role in the organization. Sign-in can require a code sent by email, with one-time recovery codes.
The store connection. The credentials that connect the service to a store are encrypted at rest.
What you teach it. The answers and documents a merchant provides so the service can learn the brand's voice.
Search Console, if you connect it. Access is read-only and can be revoked from the store's settings. Daily figures are kept for 28 days; a monthly summary is kept after that.
Where it is stored. Primary storage is in Germany, in the European Union. The dashboard is served from Vercel and the service's programming interface sits behind Cloudflare.
Providers in the United States. Some of the providers that help run the service are based in the United States:
- the providers of the AI models that draft the store's signals
- Sentry, which receives reports when something in the service fails
- Vercel, which serves the dashboard
- DataForSEO, which supplies search data
- Paddle, which handles payments
- the provider that sends the service's account emails
Why we use personal data
For readers in the European Union, the United Kingdom and other places whose law asks for a reason, these are ours:
- to deliver the site and protect it from abuse, because we have a legitimate interest in running it;
- to count visits in aggregate, because we have a legitimate interest in knowing which pages are read;
- to remember a choice you made in your browser, because you asked for it;
- to answer you when you write to us, because you asked us to;
- to write to you from the waitlist or send you the Corpus report, because you consented to it;
- to run the service for an organization, because we have agreed to provide it.
How long we keep it
The items in your browser last as long as the table above says. On our side, the website keeps nothing about your visit. We keep what you send through the waitlist and the Corpus report form. When you unsubscribe, we stop writing to you. For correspondence and for the service, see the open points above.
Your choices and your rights
You can clear the site's cookies and storage at any time, and the site still works.
Depending on where you live, the law may give you the right to ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to receive it in a form you can take elsewhere, to object to how we use it or to limit it, and to withdraw a consent you gave. You may also have the right to complain to the data protection authority where you live. To make a request, write to help@clione.ai. We may ask you to confirm who you are before we act on it.
We do not sell personal information and do not share it for targeted advertising.
Children
The site and the service are for businesses. They are not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data about them.
Security
The site is served over an encrypted connection. In the service, store credentials are encrypted at rest and sign-in can require a second step by email.
Changes to this notice
When what we do with data changes, we change this notice and its date.
