Licensing

The content on this site belongs to Red Forest USA LLC and is not under an open license, with one exception: the glossary definitions, which anyone may reuse with credit. Search engines and AI systems may read, index and learn from all of it.

All rights reserved

Everything on this site that we made, the text, the images, the drawings of the product and the data files a machine can fetch, is © Red Forest USA LLC, all rights reserved. It is not published under an open license.

You may read it, link to any page, and quote short passages with a credit to Clione and a link to the page you quoted. Republishing a page or an image, in whole or in substantial part, needs our written permission. Ask at help@clione.ai.

The glossary is the exception

The glossary entries, and only those pages, are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license (CC BY 4.0). You may copy, adapt and republish a glossary entry for any purpose, commercial included, as long as you credit Clione, link to the page you took it from, and say if you changed it. Each glossary entry says so at its foot and declares the license to machines.

The license covers the text we wrote on those pages. It does not cover material on them that belongs to others, such as a quotation from a source or a platform's logo. Guides, comparisons, studies and every other page stay all rights reserved.

Material that belongs to others

Some of what appears on the site is not ours to license. The photographs are stock photographs used under their own license. The names and logos of the platforms and products the site mentions belong to their owners. The Clione name and logo identify our product, and nothing on this page gives you a right to use them.

The privacy notice, the terms, the accessibility statement, the generative AI policy and this page describe one company and are not for reuse by another.

What machines may do with this

Search engines and AI systems may crawl this site, index it, use it to answer questions and train models on it. When an answer draws on our content, we ask that it name Clione and link to the page it came from. That permission covers automated processing; it is not a license to republish our pages as your own, which the sections above govern.

The site states the same permission to machines on every response, in two vocabularies. The two lines below are the values it sends:

Content-Usage: train-ai=y, search=y
Content-Signal: search=yes, ai-input=yes, ai-train=yes

Neither vocabulary has a field for credit, which is why the request to name us lives in the paragraph above rather than in a header.

Asking for permission

To republish something beyond what this page allows, write to help@clione.ai with what you want to use and where.
