Clione vs Zoovu. A discovery suite, and a tool for one job.
Zoovu sells enterprise product discovery: search, guided selling, configurators, shopping assistants, and now product data enrichment for generative search. Clione does one job: it writes the signals search engines and AI assistants read, publishes them in your store and checks the live page. If you need the whole discovery stack, talk to Zoovu. If you need your catalog read and recommended, start here.

The verdict
Pick Zoovu if you are an enterprise with complex products and you want one vendor for discovery on your own site and the data behind it: search, guided selling, configurators and quoting, shopping assistants, and enrichment that turns PIM, ERP and PDF specs into attributes and language a buyer understands. Microsoft, BSH and Canon are among its customers.
Pick Clione if you are a growing SMB with a big catalog and the problem is that search engines and AI assistants cannot read it well enough to recommend it. Clione enriches every product, category and page, writes the structured data, the FAQs and the meta, publishes them through your platform's own API when you press Push and then reads the live page to tell you what actually rendered.
Enrichment as one module of four
Zoovu prices by module: Product Data Enrichment, Product Discovery & Configuration, AI Search & Merchandising, and the AI Shopping Assistant, each on a custom quote that combines a product fee with a usage fee. That suits an enterprise buying a discovery stack. It also tells you where enrichment sits: as one part of a larger suite.
Clione is only that part, taken further. It does not stop at better attributes: it publishes the signals into the page your store serves, checks that they rendered, and asks ChatGPT and Gemini whether they now recommend you.
Where Zoovu is stronger
- Discovery on your own site. Search, product finders, guided selling, visual configurators and CPQ. Clione does none of it.
- Messy sources. Zoovu enriches from PIM, ERP, spreadsheets and PDFs. Clione reads the catalog from your store, plus the brand documents you upload.
- An MCP server, today. Launched in December 2025 for every Zoovu customer, giving AI agents governed access to product data.
- Scale and backing. A $169M round led by FTV Capital in 2022, and customers such as Trek, BSH and Euronics.
Where Clione is different
- It publishes and checks. Signals go out through the platform's own API, and after each push Clione fetches the live page and reports what rendered against what it pushed.
- It writes what machines read. A JSON-LD graph on every product page, FAQs across the catalog, keywords, meta, and a plain-text document per product on your store's own domain.
- It notices when your platform undoes the work. When a PIM or the platform overwrites a field Clione pushed, the next sync names the field and the date.
- It is built for the stores SMBs run. Shopify, BigCommerce and WooCommerce, and headless storefronts set up with you.

What people ask when they weigh both.
Can I use both?
Yes. Zoovu's search and guided selling work for the shopper already on your site; Clione works on what search engines and AI assistants read before the shopper arrives. If both write the same field, Clione's next sync names the field and the date.
Does Clione do on-site search?
No. Clione has semantic search inside its own dashboard, for you to find products, not for your shoppers. On-site search, product finders and configurators are what Zoovu is built around.
Which platforms does each one work on?
Clione works on Shopify, BigCommerce and WooCommerce, and on headless storefronts set up with your developers. Zoovu shows Shopify Plus, BigCommerce and WooCommerce among its integrations, beside ERP, CRM and PIM systems.
