Clione vs SEOKart. A trusted SEO app, and a loop that checks what AI reads.

SEOKart is a long-standing BigCommerce app that writes titles, meta descriptions, FAQs and schema in a click or in bulk, and fixes alt text and broken links. Clione enriches every product, category and page, publishes the signals, reads the live page back and asks ChatGPT and Gemini whether they recommend you. One is classic SEO, done well. The other is built around AI search.

The verdict

Pick SEOKart if you run a BigCommerce store, want the SEO basics done across the catalog in a click, and want to pay little for it. It writes titles, meta descriptions, FAQs and schema, updates them in bulk, takes care of alt text, broken links and redirects, and tracks your keyword rankings, for $20 a month after a 10-day trial. Its marketplace reviews are as good as they come.

Pick Clione if what you need is AI search specifically: a catalog enriched for how assistants reason about products, published and then checked on the live page, and a way to see whether ChatGPT and Gemini recommend you, and who they recommend instead.

The same words, a different job

SEOKart's listing now calls it a ChatGPT SEO Optimizer and pitches discovery from Google Search to ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Overviews. The work it describes is the classic on-page set: titles, metas, FAQ content, schema, alt text, links, redirects, an audit and rank tracking. That set still matters, and SEOKart does it for many stores.

Clione goes deeper on fewer things. Each enrichment writes a core identity, reasoning vectors (who a product is recommended for, the decision logic, the objection it answers), keywords in your catalog's language and an agent-readable document per product on your own domain. Then it closes the loop: it reads the page back, warns when a field is overwritten, keeps the last three versions, and measures what ChatGPT and Gemini say.

Where SEOKart is stronger

  • Price and track record. $20 a month, rated 4.92 out of 5 from 179 reviews on the BigCommerce marketplace. Clione is in beta with selected clients.
  • The rest of on-page SEO. Image alt text, compression, broken links, 404 fixes, redirects and keyword rank tracking. Clione does none of those.
  • A managed service, if you want one. SEOKart also sells a managed SEO service, at $799 and $1,299 a month.
  • Hands off for new products. Its Auto SEO mode optimises new products and categories as they arrive. In Clione, every enrichment and every push starts with a click.

Where Clione is different

  • It checks the page. After each push Clione fetches the live page and reports what rendered against what it pushed, and warns when the platform or a PIM overwrites a field it wrote.
  • It tells you whether it worked. Clione asks ChatGPT and Gemini whether they recommend you, and with Google Analytics connected shows which orders came from AI assistants, with a noise range.
  • It sends the catalog where shopping agents read it. A daily feed to ChatGPT shopping and a supplemental feed to Google Merchant Center.
  • Server-rendered on BigCommerce. The graph is rendered by the Widget API, beside the theme's own product node instead of duplicating it.
  • Three platforms. Shopify, BigCommerce and WooCommerce, and headless set up with you. SEOKart is on BigCommerce and Shopify.

Sources

Before you choose

What people ask when they weigh both.

Can I use both?

Yes, if you give each its own fields. SEOKart for alt text, broken links, redirects and rank tracking; Clione for the structured data, FAQs and meta on the catalog. If one rewrites a field Clione pushed, the next sync names the field and the date.

How would I know if either one gets me into ChatGPT?

Clione asks ChatGPT and Gemini the questions shoppers ask, shows whether they name your products, and who they recommend instead when they stop. SEOKart's listing pitches discovery in ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Overviews; we found no description of how it measures that.

Which platforms does each one work on?

SEOKart is an app for BigCommerce and, since 2020, for Shopify. Clione works on Shopify, BigCommerce and WooCommerce, and on headless storefronts set up with your developers.
