Clione vs Kedra. A loop inside one Shopify store, or across the whole book.
Kedra is a Built for Shopify app: it audits your store for AI search, applies fixes after you approve them, tracks what AI assistants recommend and reports the visits and sales they send. Clione enriches the whole catalog on Shopify, BigCommerce and WooCommerce, publishes it and reads the live page back. One Shopify store and a quick start: Kedra. Several platforms, or the whole catalog proven on the page: here.

The verdict
Pick Kedra if you run one Shopify store and want to start this afternoon. It installs from the App Store, carries the Built for Shopify badge, has a free plan, and gives you the whole loop in one app: an AI readiness audit, ranked fixes you approve, tracking of what assistants recommend, and the visits and sales they send you.
Pick Clione if your stores are not all on Shopify, or if the job is the whole catalog rather than a list of fixes. Clione enriches every product, category, collection and content page on Shopify, BigCommerce and WooCommerce, publishes the signals when you press Push, and then reads the live page to tell you what rendered.
Closest to our loop, inside Shopify
Of the tools we compare, Kedra is the one whose shape looks most like Clione's: find what is missing, write it, publish it, measure whether assistants recommend the store, count the sales. It launched in April 2026 and has built all of that within months, and its reviewers like it.
The difference is the unit of work. Kedra's audit produces fixes, counted per month on the smaller plans. Clione's unit is the entity: each product, category, collection and page gets a full enrichment, from a core identity and the objections it answers to keywords, a JSON-LD graph and FAQs, written from what you taught it about your brand.
Where Kedra is stronger
- On the App Store, with the badge. One-click install and Built for Shopify, which Shopify gives for performance, design and integration. Clione is not listed; a person sets it up with you during the beta.
- What its users say. A 4.9 rating on the App Store, from merchants who have used it since it launched in April.
- More assistants tracked. ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity and Google AI. Clione measures ChatGPT and Gemini.
- A free plan and public prices. The free plan already publishes llms.txt and agents.md and runs a visibility check.
- Blog posts for the questions AI skips you on. Kedra writes them. Clione does not write blog content.
Where Clione is different
- More than one platform. Shopify, BigCommerce and WooCommerce, and headless set up with you, from one organization with as many stores as the book holds. For an agency with mixed clients, that is one tool instead of one per platform.
- It checks the page, signal by signal. After each push Clione fetches the live page and reports what rendered against what it pushed, and re-checks on a schedule. Kedra's reviewers praise a live crawler check; the listing does not describe a check after publishing.
- It notices when the work is undone. When a PIM or the platform overwrites a field Clione pushed, the next sync names the field and the date.
- Three versions and a restore. Every enrichment is snapshotted and any of the last three can be restored, and the restore is itself a version.
Sources
Facts about Kedra were read on 15 October 2026 from its Shopify App Store listing, including its plans and its merchants' reviews, and Kedra's own page for the app. "Not documented" means we found no public source for it, not that it does not exist. If something here is out of date, tell us and we will correct it.
What people ask when they weigh both.
Both report sales from AI assistants. Is it the same?
Both tell you which visits and sales came from AI assistants. Clione matches orders to the visits that produced them through Google Analytics, shows each figure with the range that says when a difference may be noise, and labels any source it cannot measure instead of showing it as zero.
Does Clione publish llms.txt too?
On Shopify and BigCommerce, Clione serves llms.txt and one Markdown document per product, category and page on your store's own domain. On Shopify it lives under Clione's own path, while the root llms.txt stays the one Shopify serves. Kedra's free plan publishes llms.txt and agents.md.
Which platforms does each one work on?
Kedra is a Shopify app. Clione works on Shopify, BigCommerce and WooCommerce, and on headless storefronts set up with your developers, so an agency can run every client from one dashboard.
