## Why we built it

For years our work was other people's catalogs. A brand would hand over thousands of products, and the same job came back every time: descriptions written for a shopper looking at the photo, empty fields where a search engine wanted facts, structured data missing or written once and never touched again. Doing it properly by hand took months, and it never stayed done.

Then the readers changed. Shoppers started asking assistants which product to buy, and the assistants answered from whatever the page said about itself. A catalog that never described itself was invisible to them.

So we built the tool we wanted on our own projects. Clione connects to the store without code, learns the brand from the people who run it, drafts what every product, category and page is missing, and publishes it when someone presses Push. Then it reads the live page back, because we have seen too many fixes that never made it to the storefront.

It is in beta today, with a small number of stores, and we answer every one of them ourselves.
